About our Speaker:

Danny Etheredge, (SMSgt (Ret.), U.S. Air Force)

Senior Master Sgt. Retired Danny Etheredge is a cybersecurity and workforce development leader with 25+ years of proven performance building mission-ready training programs in high-consequence, operational environments. He currently serves as the Director of Training & Workforce Development for the Georgia Cyber Innovation & Training Center (GCITC) at Augusta University, where he leads the design, delivery, and expansion of cybersecurity education and workforce initiatives that support students, government, and industry partners across Georgia and the wider Southeast.
Across a distinguished career in the U.S. Air Force, Mr. Etheredge served in senior training leadership roles overseeing large-scale, enterprise training operations for intelligence and cyber-related mission areas. He is known for translating complex operational requirements into outcomes-driven learning systems—building instructor teams, scaling programs, and ensuring learners graduate with real, measurable capability.

In his current role, Mr. Etheredge focuses on modernizing and expanding hands-on cyber training and workforce pathways through partner engagement, program strategy, and execution. He brings a practical, data-informed approach to training effectiveness and stakeholder value, and he leverages emerging technologies—including, notably, generative AI—to accelerate content development, improve consistency, and reduce time-to-publish while maintaining leadership accountability for outcomes.
Mission-driven and execution-focused, Mr. Etheredge is recognized for aligning people, processes, and technology to deliver scalable training solutions, strengthen cyber talent pipelines, and increase readiness for organizations operating in complex and evolving threat environments.
